When you’re a small person everything seems to be made for GIANTS!
Some close-ups:
Ms Loanna’s Night Life
Ms Loanna, a highly respected anchorwomen for Channel 1, enjoys a cup of tea with two sugars before each live news broadcast. From her poise composure one would not have guessed that she spends the nights gambling her daytime wage away at the roulette table while sipping dry martini.
The Bluestone360 Academy
I’ve recently relocated to Plymouth to join Bluestone360 for a summer placement. This is a very exciting opportunity for me to gain experience at one of South West’s top creative agencies after winning a design competition launched as part of the Bluestone360 Academy. The Academy was formed to give talented graduates real industry experience. As the chosen candidate I will be bringing to life the design entry I submitted for the CHICKS (Country Holiday for Inner City Kids) charity website. CHICKS is a national children’s charity that provides free respite breaks for disadvantaged children across the UK. These breaks take place in one of their countryside retreats in Devon or Cornwall and give the children a chance to enjoy their childhood.
Having received a very warm welcome on my first day at Bluestone360 I look forward to the challenges creating CHICKS’ new website will involve. A convenient bonus of my time here is that the office in Royal William Yard is right by the waterfront and is an absolutely gorgeous location to be based.

Another recent development is that I’ve joined Twitter. Feel free to follow my process as I journey through my latest adventure!
The Lost Kitten
The little kitten who had lost her way needed somewhere to go. She soon found refuge in a quiet corner away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, where food was plentiful, and the sun smiled kindly upon her.
The Ultimate Holding Company
I have recently finished a placement at The Ultimate Holding Company in Manchester. UHC is an unique art and design co-operative who aims to contribute towards positive and social change through good graphic design as well as publicly engaging projects. Amongst many things, the placement allowed me to make small contributions towards the Keith Taylor MEP website as well as witness the frenzy of activity behind the EXAM Project, which was part of the Queer Up North Festival.
A big thank you to Sara, Jack and the rest of the team at UHC for looking after me during my time there!
Piggy’s Insatiable Appetite
No matter how many apples the little piggy ate, his appetite could not be satisfied. It was as if a worm had grown inside his tummy eating more than its fair share.
Advice From Them
Last month while in the Northern Quarter of Manchester I picked up a flyer about the Advice From Them project. This project aims to create a collection of good advice that people have been given, would like to give or wish they’d been given.
For my submission, I chose to illustrate: ‘Don’t put all your eggs in one basket’, a piece of advice I’m sure many of us have been given.
The Advice From Them project is still in its early stage and you can take part by sending artwork to:
