Earlier this year I created a banner for Manchester Girl Geeks, which featured the city’s skyline. During the design process I also refreshed their brand colour to a shade which the girls affectionately went on to calling: “pinky-purple”.
At the moment, Dulux is running a “Let’s Colour” campaign to raise money for the children’s charity UNICEF. By making a donation (starting at £1), members of the public or organisations can name a colour that is special to them.
This is exactly what Manchester Girl Geeks has done with their colour (#C05280).

This was the description that went with it:
‘Pinky Purple’ is the official colour of Manchester Girl Geeks. It’s a mature spin on the traditional light pink of the Girl Geek Dinners.
If you are fond of a particular colour and would also like to help UNICEF continue their good work protecting children, visit the Own a Colour website to get started.
Great way to raise money for the charity. Love the ‘pinky purple’ colour for Girl Geeks
