Manchester Girl Geeks have been giving attendees a sticker as a souvenir for each event since the start of the year – because everyone loves stickers!
Here’s a quick look back at the stickers from the previous two events.
#makingIThappen was our March event as part of International Women’s Day. 3D Printing was the theme for April, which involved a trip to FabLab Manchester and the 3D: Printing the Future exhibition at MOSI.
Following the success of last year’s Girl Geeks BarCamp, we’ll be holding our (sold-out) mini-Barcamp this weekend at AutoTrader’s HQ, where there’ll be plenty of goodies donated by various kind organisations. So instead I’ve been working on the sticker design for next month.
Girl Geek Tea Party #52 (June) with Hannah Fry
In June we’re being treated to a visit by mathematician Dr Hannah Fry, who is a lecturer in the Mathematics of Cities at the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis at UCL. I was already familiar with Hannah’s work through her Tedx talk, The Mathematics of Love, which was subsequently released as a book earlier this year.
I’m really looking forward to hearing her talk about Hidden Connections, while enjoying tea and cake, a tradition of all Girl Geek Tea Parties.
Come join us on Sunday, 14th June 2015 at The Shed (MMU’s digital innovation hub) and learn about patterns in human behaviour.
Tickets £3 (includes refreshments) are available via Fatsoma:
